I have always had a difficult time waiting to find out the ending of my favorite movies, TV shows & books. My resume of obsession includes watching Season 1 of 24 in 3 days, watching Season 2 of 24 in 18 hours and reading each Harry Potter book in one sitting. Knowing that I would love and become obsessed with Lost, I decided to wait before the last season to begin watching it. A friend has lent me 5 seasons of Lost so I am finally ready to start.
My TV Forecast widget tells me there are only 82 days left before the start of the first Lost episode (called LA X) and I plan on watching all 103 episodes before then. I think I should start out by telling you what I do know about Lost, which surprisingly isn’t much at all. I know they are obviously stuck on an island and there are “others” who crash landed but we don’t seem them until a later season. I know Charlie from Party of Five is on the show as well as one the hobbits. Judging from some of the commercials I’ve seen, they all must eventually get off the island and I think the island is some sort of government experiment or alien lab. Finally I know season 2 or 3 is really frustrating because you never find out any answers and a lot of people bailed on the show then. Other than that I’ve been able to keep woefully ignorant about the show and hope no one will post spoilers before I get there.
Finally I wanna give a shout out to a friend of mine who gave me the idea for this blog. She is doing a similar exercise while reading all the Harry Potter books for the first time. A bunch of us have had a good time reading her thoughts and mocking her predictions as she goes through those books for the first time. You are welcome to mock my predictions as I discover how wrong (or right) they turn out to be. 103 episodes feels really daunting right now and I’m nervous I’ll want to bail when season 2 or 3 gets slow, but hopefully I will like the show.

Finally Lost
